NEON – under-passionate environments (2005)

Research focused on both movement and the stage area, able to transform dancing and be transformed by it. The subject of this work is the body moving inside public spaces, represented by neon light. Attention focuses on passions and the intimate feelings of the two dancers which change according to the lights. The show develops within a graphic space and following different atmospheres becomes relationship, isolation, communication or pure image. A video shows the dancers performing in real public spaces and is projected in a live interaction with them on stage. The set becomes a close up of what you see in the video, always shifting the audience’s attention from the interior to the exterior of the performing space.
